How we prepare and lay your lawn
We will need to clear the area of its existing surface. This could mean removing the existing lawn or a waste area that may need weedkilling before we start. Most areas we recommend to rotovate and rake. This helps to level and aerate the area and also this helps to bring all of the rubble and roots to the surface so that they can be removed. (Now decide if drainage is needed and if so where are you going to run it to). Topsoil is then spread for an even laying surface and to have room for the roots to grow. We lightly compress the topsoil then give a gentle rake over, this is now the ideal bed for your turf to be laid upon. Turf is then rolled out and patted down removing any air pockets.
